It's time for our Foundation to raise money to help us to continue to do good in our community and in the world. This past year we donated to numerous good causes in the Rapids area including United Way, our Special Needs Boy Scout Troop, Rotary Ramps, FOCUS Neighborhood Meals, WRCT Summer Youth Theatre, the LHS Interact Club, as well as youth scholarships both for our local students plus a student in India and one in Tanzania, plus more!
We are asking each of our members to consider making an annual gift to our local Foundation. We have two goals:
• Raise a minimum of $10000;
• Have 100% of our Club's Rotarians contribute.
To make this happen, our suggested contribution is $275 per Rotarian, but we just ask that you give as you can -- either more or less. No gift is too small. No gift is too large. Help us help others!

Do you want to participate in the Rotary Friendship Exchange for the Netherlands and the Philippines. International Service Edwin Bos has informed us that the Netherlands team has a solid eleven members, but can accommodate more, while the Philippines have six.

Guest speakers Melanie Kozlowski (advisor) and Rose Paul (board of officers president) shared information about how Interact/Cool 2 Be Kind carries out the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" at LHS, in the WRPS district, and local community. Click here to see the presentation about how they welcome new students, conduct random acts of kindness and recognition, conduct outreach to younger kids, and strive to build awareness about topics such as teen dating violence and mental health. One way they've used their funding from Rotary was to help the Howe Elementary Kindness Bulldogs launch their first projects.
