Rotary Friendship Assistance Needed
ROTARY FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE (RFE) – September 28 and 29.
Our club will host a 10-member (four couples, two women) Friendship Exchange Team from Brazil for two days in early October. RFE is a worldwide Rotary program that connects Rotarians with other Rotarians. It is also our opportunity to showcase our community to other Rotarians worldwide.  Your help and participation are needed in two ways.
  1. Suggest what places, site or things you think we should show to the Brazilian RFE team (i.e. Cranberry marsh, history museum, cheese factory, etc.). We have two days, Thursday Oct 3 and Friday Oct. 4 to fill.
  2. Serve as a host family for one couple or one or two of the single women for two nights (Thursday and Friday). This would include dinner with your family on Thursday evening and breakfast on Friday and Saturday mornings. All other meals are provided, and host families are encouraged to join the RFE team for activities and meals.
There is no cost to the host families to join the activities of the group-provided meals.  On Friday evening, Chuck and Gayle Gibbons will host a reception before going for a Wisconsin fish fry at a local restaurant.  Chuck Gibbons is the club’s RFE coordinator for the exchange. Please contact him (715-459-1301 or cgibbs71@charter.net) with your ideas, offer to host, or any questions you may have.
Committee Chairs Needed

Chairpersons are needed for Membership & Public Image Committees.  We need assistance in promoting our club and expanding our membership in our community.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We also need members willing to serve on the following committees:  Invocation, Greeters, Service, International Foundation, & Public Image.  Please consider joining a committee.  Time commitments and responsibilities are minimal.
Spread The Benefits of Rotary
As our club has grown smaller, our personal connections with those in the club have grown.  Now is the time to expand our connections and membership.  One of the goals of this year is to reverse our membership slide and to gradually expand.  We are looking for those individuals in our community to value "Service Above Self."  If you would like to serve on our membership growth committee, please let Ron know.
Don’t forget to register on Rotary Direct.

Attention all Noon Rotarians.  I cannot shout loud enough to get your attention regarding your “Every Rotarian Every Year” contributions.  This is the money we give to the Annual Fund that makes us eligible for district grants.  District grants bring back money to our area from ours and other clubs in the district.  Giving us the potential to have a greater impact by growing our financial support of a project through matching grant funds.  To qualify for these funds we need an average of $100 per Rotarian.  You used to be invoiced for this quarterly with a separate $25.00 ask.  This creates more work than needed so we are going to change it up.  Please give your $100 (or whatever you choose to donate, anything helps) via Rotary Direct. https://my.rotary.org/en/rotary-direct. This is an integral part of powering up our club to have the potential to do more!  The financial burden is lighter when we all do our part, and the funds given return to our district in the end.

Partner Projects with the Lions Club

We again are collecting eyeglasses and pill bottles for the Lions Club. You may bring them to the Noon meeting and place them in the box which will be located by the welcome table.  It is great that we are able to work with another community organization.  Thank you to John Steele for organizing this effort!
