The Wisconsin Rapids Rotary Club will forever be grateful for the many years we got to spend with our wonderful friend and fellow Rotarian George W. Mead II.  We are with heavy hearts following his passing on July 29, 2022.  He will forever be missed and never forgotten due to his profound impact on the community our club calls home.  We send the Mead Family our deepest condolences.  George served our club through his involvement in the scholarship committee helping to identify Youth Rotars to be awarded educational scholarships.  Additionally George served as a member of the Paul Harris Awards Committee aiding in identifying and nominating club and community members for the Paul Harris Award to be awarded based upon service to the club and community.  We are honored to have had George W Mead II as a club member since 1958, following his father Stanton Mead who joined the club in 1928, who had followed his father George W Mead, a charter member, in 1919.  We thank you for the years of Service Above Self.
