This week’s announcements…
Our Local Foundation fund drive raised $10,775… As of May 10, 2021 we have met 108% of our goal of $10,000, from 72% of the club membership. A huge thank you to all that have given, no matter what the dollar amount. With your generosity we can continue to support our community through our selected causes and projects.
Don’t forget the annual fund “EREY”… Every Rotarian Every Year is RI’s request to contribute to the annual fund every year. The goal is $100 per Rotarian. These donated funds go out for international projects, and then return home to our district after 3 years in the form of district grants. We are only eligible to apply for district grants if we average $100 per Rotarian. As of May 14, 2021 we have 15 of 53 noon Rotarians contributing to the Annual Fund. That is down from 40 members in 2019-2020. The good news is we have a month and a half yet to pick up our participation! The easiest way is to sign up for Rotary Direct. Donate | Rotary International
Service above self, service ideas wanted… Do you know something going on or that should be going on that Rotarians can help with? We would like to put together some service events that we can get our hands into a few times a year. Now that we are having more and more opportunities to safely interact in the community due to the declining Covid trends and increasing vaccination rates we are asking for your ideas large or small to start to work on. Welcome May Youth Rotars - Joining us from LHS in the 1st, 3rd and 4th weeks of April. This month we have Evan Dewitt, McKenna Williamson, and Tyla Weidman. As always make them feel welcome, help introduce them to what Rotary is and does. We are community role models.
