Rotary Club Excellence Award

We are proud to receive The Rotary Citation for the 2023-24 year.  We are one of eleven clubs in District 6250 to be recognized.

The Rotary Citation, which will be renamed the Club Excellence Award starting 1 July 2024, recognizes the hard work clubs do throughout the year.  Taking action toward achieving the required number of goals helps clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently.  A welcoming and engaging club also reflects the values of Rotary. When clubs work to achieve these goals, they also contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.
Member Benefits You Might Not Know About

Being a Rotary member offers you benefits far beyond your club. Rotary International has resources to help you plan and complete service projects, connect with experts and like-minded people around the world, collaborate with young leaders, build a global network, and do even more. Being a member also gives you ways to continue your own growth, such as by attending the Rotary International Convention and taking courses online in our Learning Center. Learn more about what you can get from your Rotary membership.

United Way Day of Caring Donation

Warren Miller, Rotary Foundation Chair, presented a check for $1250 to Ben Eberlein, Communication Engagement Director of the United Way of South Wood County, for our support of the Day of Caring on October 26th.  Rotary is the main sponsor of the T-shirts all volunteers wear while raking leaves in our community.
Committee Chairs Needed

Chairpersons are needed for Membership & Public Image Committees.  We need assistance in promoting our club and expanding our membership in our community.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We also need members willing to serve on the following committees:  Invocation, Greeters, Service, International Foundation, & Public Image.  Please consider joining a committee.  Time commitments and responsibilities are minimal.
Partner Projects with the Lions Club

We again are collecting eyeglasses and pill bottles for the Lions Club. You may bring them to the Noon meeting and place them in the box which will be located by the welcome table.  It is great that we are able to work with another community organization.  Thank you to John Steele for organizing this effort!
