I hope that the absence of Rotary meetings on your calendars gave you all a little extra time to enjoy the holidays and kick off the new year. But its great to be back!

Save our Allies 
Our program this week will be a presentation by the non-profit organization Save Our Allies that is helping with the Afghanistan refugees currently housed at Fort McCoy. The organization is looking for volunteers to help at Fort McCoy, and knowing the impact Rotary makes has asked us to share their request for volunteers to people outside of our group as well. Look for Matt's email sent Wednesday morning for an attachment that lists the volunteers they are looking for. 
 
District 6250 Grant Management Seminar
Our Rotary District 6250 has a budget of over $183,000 to award matching grants to individual Rotary Clubs to help them do good in their community or across the globe. We qualify for those grants by having at least one member attend the Grant Management Seminar to be held virtually on Saturday January 29 from 9 am - Noon, or Wednesday February 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Register on the District 6250 website under the Foundation/Grants header. The seminar is open to all club members. Please let Warren or Sue Sippel know if you are planning on attending.
