The Foundation recently selected the recipients of our Special Projects Grants, and we're excited to begin distributing this year's awards!

One of this year's grants was awarded to Olio Arts & Music Center to support their Kids Open Art Studio program. Thanks to Rotary's support, this creative opportunity will now be offered year-round, expanding beyond its summer schedule. The grant will also help offset the cost of art supplies and program materials, ensuring more youth have access to hands-on artistic experiences throughout the year.

We also awarded the Rapids Area Sports Complex funding to sponsor a table within their incredible new facility. As the Sports Complex welcomes athletes, families, and visitors from across the region, the table provides a welcoming place for spectators to relax, enjoy a meal, connect with others, and build lasting memories.

In addition, a Special Projects Grant was awarded to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools to support an athletic scholarship, helping ensure that students have the opportunity to participate in school athletics regardless of financial circumstances. By reducing barriers to participation, this scholarship allows more students to experience the teamwork, confidence, and life skills that come through athletics.

Last week's Rotary program featured Dylan and Jayda Schulfer, local entrepreneurs and owners of The Cheesecake Factory in Wisconsin Rapids.

They shared the story behind their growing business, their passion for creating delicious homemade cheesecakes and baked treats, and their journey as local business owners. One of their unique offerings is a Cheesecake Bar, where customers can customize their dessert by choosing their own toppings for a one-of-a-kind treat.
