Welcome to the newly formatted, work in progress Ripples! Our old version was having a lot of formatting issues, so here's the new and hopefully improved version. I'll still be tweaking things, so please let me know if you'd like to see something added.
Amy, Scout Leader Wendy Cates, and Nick Cates presented The Waterford with a box of tie lap blankets created by the Scouts as part of their service project.
These blankets will be distributed to hospice patients and also used as bingo prizes for other residents at The Waterford.
Future Updates: the troop is working on a Yoga Patch and local resident and owner of Rejuvenate Yoga, Lisa Brazeau, showed the Scouts some chair yoga to keep moving. They will also be working on a Maple Syrup Patch. Elmhorst Family members, Kristian Walker and Margie Dupuis will be teaching the scouts how to tap trees and what it takes to make homemade maple syrup.
Feel free to contact Amy with any questions and/or suggestions for the troop. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7pm at the Huntington House, please feel free to attend anytime.
Last week we heard from Chamber President Staci Kivi about their new entrepreneurial program with MidState. Participants are in the midst of learning more about starting and expanding a business, with the ultimate goal of leaving the program with a complete business plan.
