Happy Friday Rotarians,
Are there others in your life that you know who may want to give back to their community, the region, or the World? Rotary offers that opportunity. Remember “Rotary Opens Opportunities” is our theme this year. There are endless opportunities to satisfy the benevolent spirit. Our club gets stronger, and our power to do great things grows with every member. I’m challenging you to ask someone to join our Rotary Club. I set a goal at the start of my presidential term to grow our club by five net members. We have some work to do, but I am quite certain if we just ask those around us we will not only meet this goal but surpass it.
This week’s club updates…
EREY – Every Rotarian Every Year…Our club, in line with RI, shoots for every Rotarian to donate at least $100 per year to the annual fund. Besides doing good work around the world, then returning to our own district, this keeps us eligible for district grants. Have you made your donation yet? Our club elected to no longer send quarterly $25.00 invoices to reduce clerical burden. We are asking that you instead log in to RI and make your donation through Rotary Direct, or request a paper form from Sue.

Attendee needed for District Grant Management Seminar….Wisconsin Rapids Noon Rotary is looking for someone willing to attend one of the Grant Management Seminars below. Let Sue Sippel know if you are able to attend.
The promise of a new year includes opportunity for service in our local communities and around the world. As People of Action, Rotary Clubs who are planning projects for the new Rotary year that include applying for District Grants and Global Grants are required to complete the Grant Management Seminar each year to maintain eligibility. Anyone from your Club can attend one of the three Grant Management Seminars in 2021. Virtual sessions will be held on:
Saturday, January 16: 9 a.m. – Noon (Registration Open)
Wednesday, March 17: 530 – 8:30 p.m. (Registration Open)
Thursday, April 22: 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Rotary put a brick in the wall…The $600 donation to the Rapids Area Soccer Inc. was received and supports the building of a new shelter structure at the soccer complex. It supports our local youth and local economy by keeping our facilities in great shape and a desired site for families to attend and participate. We will have a 12inch x 12 inch tile installed on one of the columns recognizing our Rotary Club.
January Youth Rotars - Joining us from LHS we have Alexcis Rehberg, Alexis Heinen, and Azalea Clendenning. As always make them feel welcome, help introduce them to what Rotary is and does. We are community role models. Youth Rotars will not be with us Jan 18.
