Happy Friday Fellow Rotarians!

October 24 Day of Caring – Rotarians Raking.  (It also happens to be World Polio Day, so we will also be collectively giving polio the Finger that day).  I’m looking for volunteers to join me as Rotarians Raking at the day of Caring.  I’m hoping we can get at a minimum six of us to represent a yard clean up team.  It starts at 8AM.  If you are interested please let me know via this link.  Rotarians Raking  Invite family and friends to fill our morning with fun.

Thank you Phil and Mary for your gracious hospitality.  What a personalized tour of the history and traditions that make up the Glacial Lake Marsh.  Great food and I couldn’t ask for better company.  It is incredible to see what we have in our own back yard that is unique only to this region and nowhere else in the world! See pictures from the Cranberry Marsh here:

Continue to help a fund raising project within our district called “Wheels of hope bus tour.”  The Rotary clubs of Lacrosse are raising funds to purchase a new bus for the transport of girls that attend Razia Jan’s school in Afghanistan.  Razia’s Ray of hope foundation has created transformative change by educating more than 1,000 girls from kindergarten through college.  The bus is in desperate need of replacing to provide the students safe reliable transportation to and from school.  They are very near their goal and are asking for your help to finish it off.  The links below are the Go-Fund Me page, and a video of Razia’s inspiring talk at the district conference last spring.
