Rotarians,
The club confirmed our slate of officers for next year’s club board of directors. We look forward to Warren’s leadership through the 2021-22 Rotary Year.
I would again like to thank all our future president’s Warren Miller, Tim Young, and Ron Rasmussen as well as the rest of the board for your commitment and demonstrating our motto “Service Above Self” through your actions.
Additionally we have an exciting meeting this week in which we are formally welcoming a new member to the club. Julie Strenn – President and CEO of the ODC, will be inducted. We also have Dr. Falk and Dr. Olson back to give a presentation on the Covid-19 vaccine. I hope you join us and as always I encourage you to invite a guest along
This week’s announcements…
March 8, 2021 service social focused event will focus on fundraising and will be held over the regular noon hour…The fundraiser committee is interested in your feedback and ideas. We will be meeting over the regular noon hour time on the second Monday of March in lieu of an evening event or a traditional noon meeting. As a reminder we as a club were surveyed and felt collectively that we needed to support our internal fund drive for the foundation with a fundraiser. Our goal as a club is yet to have some version of a fund raiser this year. Join us on March 8.
Thank you to those Noon Rotarians that took the time to write to our Scout Troop…Around the holiday’s we had a few members step up to the call to support our scouts in a year that they needed less financial support and more personal support. Thank you to Amy Kolo-Elmhorst, Sue Sippel, John Steele, Tari Jahns, and JR Siewert for reaching out with happy holiday wishes. Such simple acts can make someone else’s world much brighter.
