A special thank you to Shannon TerMaat, our speaker last week, for a fascinating presentation on the Science of Reading. Shannon shared how reading instruction has changed and evolved over the past several years, particularly with the implementation of Wisconsin Act 20, new curriculum requirements, and changing approaches to how reading is taught.
Her presentation offered valuable insight into what these changes mean for educators, students, and families, and helped us better understand the research behind today’s approach to literacy instruction.
Thank you, Shannon, for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us!
