Our Noon Rotary Club has sponsored the Special Needs Boy Scouts since 1992. The Boy Scouts raise the money needed to cover their programs and activities by selling Christmas crafts, selling popcorn, and having a brat fry. Based on the number of members and leaders this year, the club's charter fee is $2087. Tom Brehmer, one of the leaders of the Scouts, was present to receive a $1500 donation from our Foundation. Tom shared the impact the Rotary Club of Rhinelander did 90 years ago by building a structure for Scouts north of Rhinelander. Thank you to Amy Kolo-Elmhurst for serving as a Scout Master of the troop.
Our annual Fund Drive for our Club's Rotary Foundation is now through March 15th. The ask is $275 for each Rotarian, though more is always welcome. You can bring your contribution in an envelope to one of our meetings and give it to Warren, or you can mail it. More information is above in the picture or click here.
Giving Back Inc. was started in Jan of 2023 by Brandon and Cori Abbott after they found the need and desire to give back to the local community, specifically Veterans, Police, Fire, and EMS.
They shared their experiences giving back, from initially participating in the Never Forgotten Honor Flight to recently announcing they will carry on the tradition of the Central Wisconsin Car Cruise, which will raise money for local first responder programs!
