Melanie Kozlowski Awarded a Paul Harris
 
Melanie Kozlowski, LHS Interact Advisor, was presented a Paul Harris for her dedication toward the students of Lincoln High School and the Interact/Cool 2 Be Kind club.
South Wood County Recreation Center Foundation Donation
 
 
Jim Arnold was presented a $750 check from Warren Miller, Foundation President, for the Learn To Skate for skate helpers.
Interact Club Donation
 
The Lincoln High School Interact Club Advisor, Melanie Kozlowski, and members, Maggie Kozlowski and Ava Lang, presented a $200 check toward the Tanzania Well Project.
Tanzania Water Project
 

School in Morogoro Region of Tanzania with no water

•No running water available
•Students are required to bring water with them to school, but little water is available.
 
•A project of the Rotary Club of Hai-Kilimanjaro  (Timothy Masawee, President of 10-member Club)
•Needed to raise $10,000 to drill well & install solar pump & water tank
•In the Fall of 2023, our Interact Club raised $378 to send to Tanzania for this clean water project
•In January 2024, our Foundation added $622 to that money & sent $1,000
•In the Fall of 2024, our Interact Club raised $200
•In January 2025, our Foundation added $1000 to that money & sent $1,200
•The $1200 was the final amount needed for the well, solar pump, and storage tank
•Well job completed and handed over to local officials in February 2025

Need Sponsors for our Calendar Raffle
•Need minimum of 20 day sponsors to match last year’s calendar 
•Would prefer 22 day sponsors (Drawing Monday thru Friday except July 4)
 
•Need minimum of $4000 of sponsorships (Last years calendar $4600)
•More $$$ make the calendar more saleable
 
•Currently have $2500 and 11 day sponsors secured
 
•Need help securing additional sponsors
•Some sponsors from last year are not supporting us this year, so need to find new sponsors. 
•Looking for $100 up to $1000 to sponsor a day on the calendar
•If your business has not already agreed to sponsor, could you please consider it now?
•Do you know of a business that might support Rotary by sponsoring a day? 
•Take one of the letters on the table and approach the business

Jim Arnold, Director of the South Wood County Recreation Center, presented on the development and current programming of SWRC.  The Mission of SWC 2000 was to develop and maintain athletic and cultural facilities in South Wood County that enhance the quality of life for all ages.  The SWC Rec Center and football field and track at  LHS were constructed in 1992.  Programming at SWCRC includes Figure Skating, South Wood County Youth Hockey Association, Wisconsin Rapids River Kings, LHS Hockey, Learn To Skate, Open Skate, and many others.
