Rotarians,

This week’s announcements…

Results are in on the survey regarding the future style of meeting in our current state of the pandemic… There were 28 total responses, and 62% stated they would attend an in person meeting with the precautions outlined in the survey.  President Elect, President Elect Nominee and do feel this is enough members to start the wheels in motion to return to offer a form of in person meeting.  We will continue to have an offsite “Zoom” option.  Many clubs in the district and around the world are working toward this as well to offer flexibility to its club members to join in fellowship the way they see most appropriate for themselves and their current situation.  Stay tuned to when you will see our meeting shift to “Room and Zoom” or a “Parallel Meeting”.  If you have any technical skills to help our club prepare and optimize this meeting experience, please let me know.

Foundation Fund Drive, please give ASAP to help keep this drive efficient and effective… We will be running our annual local foundation fund drive from March 1, 2021 – April 15, 2021.  You should have received a letter in your snail mail this last week with an overview of our foundation fund drive.  As WR Noon Rotarians we individually try give to two (or more) funds, the Rotary International Annual Fund, and the local Noon Club Foundation.  This fund drive is for our local foundation and the funds support the work our local foundation does.  We ask for each member to give $250.00 if they can.  Our biggest goal is that we get 100% participation.  The Rotary International Annual Fund is our “Every Rotarian Every Year” giving of $100.  We have shifted our fund drive and are asking that club members do their giving or decline in a timely manner.  This giving sets the foundation budget for 2021-2022 Rotary Year.  Thank you to those that have already given!

The Crayola markers have landed at Alexander Middle School…  Noon Rotary collaborated with Wal-Mart to provide needed art supplies.  120 packs of Crayola markers were delivered in the last weeks.  The student have been enjoying markers.  “Thank you to the Noon Rotary for your generosity!  We have been creating beautiful art with our new markers! This year with COVID restrictions, it is a challenge to create in the classrooms.  With our new markers, we are able to paint, print, and explore new art techniques without sharing materials.  THANK YOU!!!  We greatly Appreciate it!!” – from the students at Alexander Middle School – Nekoosa.

Be sure to join us this week as we have a new member induction… We will be welcoming Chris Stines President of Aspirus Riverview Hospital and Clinics to our club.  He has been sponsored by JR Siewert.

Welcome March Youth Rotars - Joining us from LHS we have Matthew Moyer, Bria Moore, and Kaitlyn Pyburn.  As always make them feel welcome, help introduce them to what Rotary is and does.  We are community role models.

Please provide your ideas for programs for 2021 -   Shelly Mondeik and the programming committee is asking you to help direct your weekly programming topics.  They have done a fantastic job of keeping our lineup full of interesting programs but want help from you to submit a speaker or topic.  If you’re not able to make the connection, the committee can assist you in reaching out and solidifying the program speaker and details.  Many hands make light work.  Send your ideas to mdironside@uwalumni.com  or Shelly.Mondeik@mstc.edu
